If we see 25,000 tonnes, extra tonnes of lamb coming into the European Union, that is 5% of what we produce, who's to say what impact that will have on prices?

Without farmers we won't have food and without that we don't have a future.

We won't need a lunatic like Donald Trump to cut off our oil supply, we will run out of it.

Fertiliser is not just another input, I believe it's essential to food production and therefore ultimately to food security.

Food security is, by definition, the continuity of Europe's food supply, so succession planning is therefore, in my opinion, not just and simply a farming issue, it is an essential pillar of the European Union's food security strategy.

European farmers must not be expected to pay twice through increased imports into the EU and by losing valuable export markets into the United Kingdom.

But we can talk all day about this report if we don't make some specific binding targets.

Perhaps the clearest message from all 576 amendments is that farming must be economically viable.
