Tonight the Dáil will vote on Sinn Fein's motion to stop the ban on the sale of turf and you have indicated Thíseg that it is your intention to vote against this motion and you will do this despite the frustration felt right across rural communities. You'll do it also despite the fact that you couldn't even convince your own backbenchers of the merits of this plan. You'll do it despite the fact that people in rural Ireland, particularly older people, people on lower incomes with no alternative will struggle and struggle badly. But Thíseg, I want to ask you again not to proceed with this and for good sense, common sense to prevail. This ban is the wrong move at the wrong time. It's unfair, it alienates communities and it will be unworkable unworkable. So I am asking you to do what you have not done thus far and to give an assurance that you will ditch this plan. The motion tonight is to get rid of the carbon tax. The only way we could implement your motion this evening would be to get rid of the legislation that underpins the carbon tax, which provides the funding to deal with fuel poverty and we brought the fuel allowance to well over a thousand, which deals away with the retrofitting funds. to enable people on low incomes or people generally to retrofit their houses so there would be lower bills. And does away with farming towards the environment. And does away just transition. The Midlands and other areas need that transition funding. So your motion tonight, I have read your motion. I have read out the words in terms of the carbon tax increase in terms of excise on you, which is carbon tax. It is carbon tax which you tried to hide that fact by using the term excise on home heating, which is actually carbon tax. You have played it both ways. Your motion is full of duplicity. But it is essentially about getting rid of the carbon tax. And just to make, there is no ban on the use of turf in rural Ireland. And there will be no ban for the remainder of the year. Can we do this through the chair, thank you, and keep to the time limits. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you.
