Minister, this scheme is not fit for purpose. We need 100% redress. It's unaffordable for too many people, particularly in my own county in Mayo. The gap is too big between the grant and the rebuild costs. The defective concrete blocks represents one of the greatest scandals ever. People have to wait months on end just to get a result of the testing but I would say to people do not rebuild your home without replacing your foundations.
