Thank you Sean Comhairle. We are here today because it is almost 6 o'clock when we first saw you. I am very interested in the writing that is being done in Israel regarding the Palestinians. There are thousands of women and children like you. The people of Ireland are suffering. Children are more concerned about violence, violence and violence. There is a lot of concern about the way you live, about the cost of living and about apartheid. We cannot ignore the situation as it is and these issues at hand. There is a lot of concern among the Palestinians. They want to take away our homes. They want to take away our land and our rivers. They want to destroy people and their own rights, their own homes and their own land. And that is why we are here today. I support this motion because there are moments when people must choose whether to remain silent or to take a stand. The world has witnessed the devastation inflicted on the Palestinian people by Israel. Tens of thousands have been killed. Homes, schools and hospitals have been destroyed. Children have endured bombardment, hunger, displacement and trauma on a vast scale. Israel is guilty of genocide, of war crimes, of crimes against humanity and the crime of apartheid. And these are not matters that can simply be ignored while business continues as usual. The Palestinian people seek what every people seeks. Freedom, dignity and peace. They want to raise their children safely, build a future, build homes and communities, to play football on their own fields and determine their own future in their own homeland. Those aspirations deserve solidarity and support and for those reasons I support this motion. Israel is not a normal state. It must not be treated as such. So stand up for Palestine. Stand up for humanity and stop the game. you
