Richard O'Donoghue Questions Standing Orders in No-Confidence Vote
Richard O'Donoghue challenged the handling of a no-confidence vote in Count Corlea, alleging that standing orders were not followed. He told the Dáil he was questioning that standing orders were not followed by this house and said he had followed protocol by emailing Count Corlea during recess to ask for a review of the process.

He said requests for the Journal of the Dáil records have not been fulfilled and asked why those records were not produced. He also made clear he was not questioning certain named TDs - Michael Healy-Rae, Sean Kenny, Noel Grealish, Box of Morden and Marion Hart - noting those members had stood up and gone into government, and that his concern was strictly procedural.

We are here today for a vote of no confidence in the Count Corlea and we are here also today and a lot of other speakers spoke today about right and wrong. If you were here in the Dáil last week, and I have the standing orders here in front of me if you have to follow the standing orders what was done right and what was done wrong. I was the person that emailed from independent Ireland to the Count Corlea at the time and asked her at the time of recess to look at the process of standing orders. I followed protocol and I asked her, they acknowledged the email but they never came back. By looking at the Rochtis television and if you look at it within 11 seconds the Count Corlea rammed something through even though there was a division and a call for a vote on. That is on the record of a Rochtis television. That is the right and wrong that was done here. That is what has been done wrong. That is what I am questioning. I am not questioning Michael Healy-Rae getting adjoined in the ministry. I am not questioning Sean Kenny getting adjoined in the ministry. Noel Grealish, Box of Morden, Marion Hart. I am not questioning that. I am not. Because at least they stood up and they went into government. I am not questioning that. I am questioning that standing orders were not followed by this house. Even though there is a record shown now from an email that we sent. Followed up by an email by Michael Collins and from Kenneth Flynn. That is on the record. And on the record is the Journal of the Dáil. We have been asking for the records of the Journal of the Dáil and they have not given it to us. Why? Because they are supposed to be here. If you look at standing orders, which is in this house, standing orders have to be a theatre. The councola did not do standing orders. She did not follow standing orders. That is what I am questioning today. That is what I put on writing to the councola. I am not here to roll and shout. I am here to follow the standing orders and they weren't a theatre.
