Nature of the platform

VideoParliament.ie is an information platform of a documentary nature. We publish materials concerning the activities of persons holding public office, in particular TDs (Teachtaí Dála), Senators (Seanadóirí), MEPs, councillors, ministers and other public figures participating in public debate.

Content sources

Published content is sourced from public proceedings, official public speeches and other publicly accessible events of public life. The platform also publishes its own materials and its own editorial presentations of public materials. Materials are editorially prepared for the purposes of organisation, archiving and presentation to audiences in a clear format.

Publication and update policies

The editorial team endeavours to ensure that published materials are accurate, complete and up to date. Where errors or inaccuracies are identified, content is corrected in accordance with the procedure described on the Corrections page. The platform is informational in nature and does not engage in opinion-forming or commentary.
