Hello everyone, today I received approval from Cabinet to move forward with the Dublin Airport Passenger Capacity Bill, which is effectively to give the legal powers to remove the capped on passengers at Dublin Airport. Dublin Airport is a critical piece of national infrastructure, a critical employer as well. Over 130,000 people employed directly or indirectly and really important for our country and for the North Dublin region. I'll be introducing the Bill to the House next week. People can be assured though that this will be done in a sustainable way, respectful of local communities as well and indeed of their views and we need the airport to grow but to operate under a good neighbour policy and I've been very clear with DAA on that. But I will be moving forward with this legislation and I want to thank everyone, both stakeholders in the aviation sector, residents and everyone else who's engaged with me on this and I look forward to the debate over the coming weeks in relation to the passage of this piece of really important national legislation.
