George Lawlor demands action on idle Rosslare truck park

Minister, last Friday Rosslare Europort was reaffirmed as a port of national importance and this is an issue that I've discussed with you relatively recently, I'm just looking for some sort of an update. The port of Rosslare has grown exponentially over the past number of years since Brexit but yet the former customs post that can hold and park 93 trucks lies idle after your department has spent 14.8 million euro on it. Please can we have some common sense in this regard. I know I spoke to you about it relatively recently to be fair to you but if we could have an update because common sense must prevail. The Rosslare harbour village is overrun with trucks. This has parking for 93 in an ideal location. Please Minister can I ask you to act. Minister please. Thank you Deputy and I appreciate you raised with me in the last week or so and actually directly followed up with officials on this this morning on trying to get a response to the issue that you've raised and I'll come back to you comprehensively on it.
