Victor Boyhan Welcomes Minister, Praises Senator on Bill
Victor Boyhan welcomed the minister to the House and thanked the senator for pursuing the bill, expressing full agreement with previous speakers and support for the legislation. He acknowledged officials' work and said he looked forward to the minister's contribution.

Boyhan opened by welcoming the minister and thanking them for attending as the lead minister in the department. He also thanked Senator Lachlan for pursuing the bill and said there was no point in repeating points already made by the four previous speakers.

Thank you. First I want to welcome the Minister to the House and thank you for coming as the lead minister in the department. I want to thank you Senator for pursuing this bill and I fully agree with the four previous speakers there's no point in repeating ourselves in these houses. Let's keep the clarity keep it simple. I fully agree and concur with everything you have said. I'd also like to thank your officials because a lot of work goes in behind the scenes and okay you're the minister and that's great but a lot of work goes on behind the scenes in supporting you and your work and I want to acknowledge that too. And so really at this stage I look forward to hearing your contribution. I'm glad to see you have a script in front but you have loads of additional notes in pen as nothing less I'd expect of you so clearly you're engaging which is in line with your style of operation and modus operandi as they say. So look Minister you're very welcome and again well done to you Senator Lachlan for the work and the drive and the commitment and the enthusiasm to see this important piece of legislation through the House.
