Mattie McGrath: Calls for answers on long Covid and vaccine harm
Mattie McGrath spoke about long Covid, vaccine injury and indemnification, urging urgent support for sufferers and vaccine-injured people. He asked the minister to meet the family of Roy Jones of Waterford and criticised indemnity arrangements for vaccine manufacturers.
Calls for better support for long Covid sufferers
He complimented the regional group for the motion on long Covid and said many people are suffering, spending great energy and money to get a diagnosis despite having very little energy. He highlighted that frontline workers, including nurses and doctors, are among those affected and said some are still waiting for the €1,000 payment they were promised.
Request to meet bereaved family and claims about vaccine harm
He said more people, including Roy Jones of Waterford, had lost their lives after the vaccine and asked the minister to meet Jones's family, who have been seeking information from the vaccine companies. He urged ministers to hear those families directly.
Concerns over indemnity and vaccine testing
He criticised a previous decision that he described as giving 'carte blanche indemnification' to vaccine companies and questioned why companies should be indemnified if they were so safe. He also referenced a statement by 'Faisal' that, in his view, admitted the vaccine had not been tested for effectiveness against the spread of Covid.
Broader criticisms and calls for answers
He accused leaders of overlooking those suffering while others profited, questioned current policy choices, and urged transparency and accountability. He closed by saying answers are needed now and that the questions would be obvious if people "open the eyes and see."

I want to compliment the regional group for being proud of this motion, long Covid, because there are so many people suffering and they have diagnosis at a great cost for themselves and great energy spent, even though they have very little energy, to try and get a diagnosis. It seems if it's a blanket that's put over Covid that we can't discuss or debate it. The one narrative had to apply all the time, so people are very ill, very sick. More of them, and I'm asking you now, Minister, more of them like Roy Jones and Waterford, lost his life after the vaccine. So I'm asking you, would you meet his family, because they've been in touch with me quite recently, just to be trying to get information from the vaccine companies. I remember one day here, the teacher came in, oh, guns blazing, and gave carte blanche indemnification to the vaccine companies, and now we can't find funding or find a way about it all to give support people who have long Covid, many of them nurses, many of them doctors, many of them frontline workers in many areas, and we just have battled, and we stood up here and clapped for them. Some of them are still waiting for the €1,000, which is shocking that they were still waiting for the €1,000 payment that they were supposed to get. So this has all been a very, very, very sly game, and we saw one of the heads of us, Faisal, recently admitted that the vaccine wasn't tested at all against the spread of, how effective to be against the spread of Covid. So, there's a lot of answers that's needed, but we need to look after the people who have long Covid, and also who are vaccine injured, because this is going to go on a long time. And meanwhile, a big farmer right off into the sunset, with billions of profits, and there are taxpayers, Apaches again, once more, thanks to the new globalist leader, Michal Martin, came in here and everybody supported him. So, why should we indemnify those companies, if they're so safe? They had no trials done, and they've robbed us all the way, and now people are ill, and injured, and people are suffering non-Covid, mostly looked after. And why are we 100,000 people who have been on a weekly basis here? Why are we twice as many children in Cumberland today as we had this time last year? Ask the questions, the answers are quite obvious, if you just open the eyes and see. Thank you. Thank you.
